17th Annual Botanica–a Gardener’s Luncheon

Alpine Bank, along with Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden, is pleased to sponsor Botanica on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Forest Hills Country Club, 5135 Forest Hills Road, Rockford. Botanica is well known as the stateline’s premier kick-off event to the gardening season.

The featured speaker is Tony Todesco. “Flowers, Fun & Fancy in Traditional and Creative Designs” is the program for this year’s luncheon. Todesco is a well-known floral designer, lecturer and instructor for groups and garden clubs, on state and national levels.

Through his creative use of plant material, he not only interprets design trends, but helps create them.

The event begins at 10 a.m. with a hands-on floral arranging workshop for only $25. Doors open at 11 a.m. for a delicious luncheon, silent auction, and Todesco’s program. Luncheon and feature program is $45. Register online at www.klehm.org or call (815) 965-8146.
