Taxes: Today not filing deadline

Because Monday is Patriots’ Davy, a federal holiday, the deadline for filing state and federal income taxes is not today, April 15.

Because of the holiday,  last-minute income tax returns may be submitted Monday, April 18 and Tuesday, April 19.

Monday is the deadline for e-filing federal returns while Patriots’ Day has pushed the last day to file state returns to Tuesday.
