Paddle and Trail to operate Rock River Rentals at Sinnissippi Park, event to launch season Friday, April 22

Rockford, Ill. – Paddle and Trail will operate Rock River Rentals in partnership with Rockford Park District in the old Anderson Building at Sinnissippi Park.

Officials will launch the biking and paddling season and the venture Friday, April 22, 12:00 p.m. ‐ 4:00 p.m.

There will be opportunities to learn about BIC Stand Up Paddleboards and CatSkis from manufacturers reps, and people may try out a variety of kayaks during free demo time.

Rentals and concessions will be available from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Rentals will also be availablethrough the weekend, Saturday, April 23 from 10:00 a.m. ‐ 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, 12:00 p.m. ‐ 6:00 p.m.

Paddle and Trail Rock River Rentals will be regularly open Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, 10:00am‐6:00pm through June 5. Beginning June 9 through Labor Day, it will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10:00am‐6:00pm.

The rental center will offer kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, long boards, CatSkis and bicycle rentals for the whole family. The operation will offer people new and fun ways to get out and explore the land and water trails in Rockford.

Plenty of boats and bikes will be at the rental center, but to ensure availability, reservations for rentals can be made online at www.paddleandtrail.com or by calling the Loves Park store, 815‐636‐9066.

Reservations for group outings should be made in advance by calling the store. Shuttle services may be available if pre‐arranged with Paddle and Trail. For those who would like to learn more about kayaking before the season begins, lessons are offered by Paddle and Trail at nBoylan Swim Complex.
