To the Editor: Montessori’s Green Fair Committee says thanks

On behalf of the Green Fair Committee at Maria Montessori School, I want to thank all the generous businesses that donated–Village Green, 320 Store, Choices Natural Market, Winnebago County Soil and Water Conservation, Woodman’s, Mary’s Market, Hilander, and the City of Rockford.
Also, we’d like to thank the Holistic Moms Network, Andrea Hazzard from First Hand Harvest, Kathy from Severson Dells, Chet from Freedom Fields, and Heather from the City of Rockford for donating their time to help engage our children in learning about how to help the environment and our Girl Scout troop for working the book walk station. All the donations and time given were very much appreciated, and the event wouldn’t have been as successful without all this help from the community.
We’d also like to thank the following current and future board members for taking time out of their busy schedules to come to our event–Lisa Jackson, Tim Rollins, Ken Scrivano, Jude Makulec, and Laura Powers. And of course, our events could never be possible without the tremendous support of our teachers, parents, and principal, Sue Haney-Bauer. Thank you, everyone, for making the event so wonderful!
