I'd prefer that we focus on keeping marriages between heterosexuals strong. We should focus on solving the root causes of the high divorce rate today: infidelity, abuse, and addiction. Rather than worry about a gay couple who is willing to make a commitment to each other, let's address the problems that are breaking up families. Some people spend too much time worrying about gay marriage. I’d prefer that we focus on keeping marriages between heterosexuals strong. No one has the right to beat someone because they happen to be gay. That said, I disagree with laws designed to protect specific sub-groups. Assault and battery is assault and battery, no matter if you're gay or straight. I disagree with parades of naked men fondling each other in public. I disagree with teaching children about gay sexuality, or any sexuality for that matter. Sex is something to be taught at home, NOT IN A PUBLIC School. Most of us are heterosexual. I disagree with efforts such as New York or California where young children are exposed to garbage like "Jenny has two Moms", or more recently the fairy tale in California schools about the "Two Princes who Fell in Love". This is sick and disguusting. It is a blatant attempt to brainwash children into accepting homosexuality as a mainstream value...it is not. I don’t care what consenting adults do behind closed doors.
