Sounds of Good News offers new CD for Mother’s Day

Sounds Of Good News (SOGN) Productions is celebrating Mother’s Day and Memorial Day with two new CDs: Mothers of the Cross (A “Gospel Favorites” musical tribute to “Women Christian Soldiers) and My Buddy (A “Jazz” album in tribute to “Maestro” Bill Doll and “Chicago Legend” Julian Swain).

CDs are available in Rockford at SwedishAmerican’s “Jenny’s” Gift Shops and in Freeport at “Twice as Nice” consignments. A special online deal is waiting for Internet shoppers. Proceeds will benefit the Young Eagles Success (YES) Club Character Development & Excellence Program for Kids as well as Mother’s Touch Ministries (a community outreach initiative of Wisdom And You Enterprises). SOGN will also donate to the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) in honor of founder Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune (who passed away on May 18, 1955) and Dr. Dorothy I. Height (legendary president emeritus of more than four decades, who recently passed away on April 20).
