Rockford man charged with possession, intent to deliver cocaine

A Rockford man was arrested early this week and held on a $100,000 bond for allegedly attempting to traffic cocaine near an area church, police said Thursday.

Courtney L. Thomas, also known as Courtney L. Blanton, 37, was arrested Monday, May 2. Police seized 15 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and $4,500 in cash from his apartment at 5715 Forest Hills Rd.

Thomas was booked on the charge of possession with intent to deliver 15 grams of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church.

As of this report, it was not known when Thomas is scheduled to appear in court or if he has an attorney.
