CRIME: Police look for suspect in gas station robbery

The Rockford Police Department is searching for a suspect they say robbed a Mobil gas station Saturday, May 7.
Deputy Chief Greg Lindmark said shortly before 9 p.m., last Saturday, a black male armed with a silver handgun entered the Mobil station at 3338 N. Main St. After demanding money from the clerk, the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect has been described as a black male in his 30s. Police say the man was approximately 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighed approximately 200 pounds. He was wearing a gray pants, black hooded sweatshirt, white gloves and black and white shoes.
