IMF chief faces sexual assault charges

New York–The chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was arrested early Sunday for allegedly chasing a hotel employee while in the nude down the hallway of a New York hotel and trying to sexually assault her.
Police say Dominique Strauss-Kahn sexually assaulted a 32-year-old housekeeping worker at Manhattan’s Sofitel Hotel Saturday, May 14.

Strauss-Kahn, who is married to French journalist Anne Sinclair, has been charged with attempted rape, criminal sexual conduct and unlawful imprisonment.
The 62-year-old potential French presidential candidate is expected to plead not guilty.
Strauss-Kahn lives in Washington, where the IMF is based.
He was also accused of having a consensual, yet improper, sexual relationship with a female IMF employee in 2008.
Strauss-Kahn is scheduled to be arraigned sometime Sunday, May 15.
