My husband works 40 hours a week and my 2 children get social security income . by the time our mortgage and the rest of our bills are paid , we barely have enough for groceries . I have been skipping my lunches just so the children can have a snack when they get home from school . I have tried to get SNAP but i was told i could not get food stamps because with my husbands income along with my childrens income , we supposedly make to much . it would really help me and my family if we are able to win .
