‘Fun Day with Buttons’ July 20 at Rockton Community Center

Rockton Community Center will host a free-admission “Fun Day with Buttons” from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 20.

In addition to the buying, selling and exchanging with button dealers from four states in attendance, those who have buttons they do not know anything about are invited to attend. One of the members of the button club will take a look at their buttons to learn more about them and explain their value. The button reviews are also free.

Some people collect buttons by the material from they are made such as bone, metal, glass and others. Others collect by themes such as animals, flowers, transportation or sports. Collections are also based on the number of holes in a button.

At this event, professional button collectors will teach how to properly mount buttons onto button cards.
The Rock River Button Club sponsors the event.

Rockton Community Center is at 302 W. Main, Rockton, near the Post Office. Food will be available for purchase.
