Wired Café celebrates first anniversary
Online Staff Report
July 12, 2010, Crystal Douglas, owner of Wired Café, took a chance on downtown Rockford. One year later, she is proud to say her business is doing well because of the people who support downtown Rockford. She has created many partnerships and friendships and become a presence in the restaurant, art and music life that makes downtown Rockford such an exciting place.
The public is invited to Wired Cafe Friday, July 15, to celebrate its first year in business. From 3 to 6 p.m., coffee tasting by Mike Ebert from Alberta Coffee Roaster will be featured. Live music by Michael Allen and Naomi Schock will be performed from 6 to 8 p.m.
“This year has been such a great year,” Douglas said. “The support I have received from the downtown community continues to amaze me, and I look forward to the coming years.”
At 414 E. State St., Wired Café serves a variety of coffee drinks, breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, and pizzas. Hours are Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wired Café regularly exhibits local artists and participates in First Fridays.
