Beverly Broyles new Mendelssohn executive director

Beverly Broyles will begin as executive director of the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center (MPAC) July 25.
Broyles, a Rockford resident, joins Mendelssohn after working as executive director for Tinker Swiss Cottage for more than four years.
During her time at Tinker, Broyles founded the free “Tinker With Music” Summer Concert Series.
Prior to working at Tinker Cottage, Broyles held positions as executive director for the River Tree Center for the Arts and Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center in Maine, and as curator of Education and director of Public Programs for the Knoxville Museum of Art.
Broyles is a member of the Rockford Rotary Club and serves on the board of directors for SWIFTT and the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. She also belongs to the “Par None” and “One For The Girls” golf groups. Broyles is married with three sons and four grandchildren.
“My passion is to make it possible for individuals of all ages to have equal opportunities in the arts and to be encouraged to reach their full potential, whatever level that might be,” Broyles said.
