Body found of man who went missing while tubing the Kishwaukee River

The body of Jonathan Anthony Williams was found this afternoon by a helicopter search team after the 25-year-old went missing while tubing on the Kishwaukee River July 23.

Williams’ body was found in the river at Espenschied Memorial Forest Preserve, near South Perryville Road.

A friend who was tubing with Williams reported him missing after the two became separated. They were last seen tubing near Bauman Park in Cherry Valley.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department is urging anyone with information to contact them at (815) 319-6400.
