YouthBuild program seeks applicants for 2011-2012 cycle

Comprehensive Community Solutions, Inc., is seeking individuals to apply for its YouthBuild Rockford program. Applicants will go through a rigorous application process prior to being invited to the annual orientation to fill the 2011-2012 YouthBuild trainee positions for 45 weeks of leadership training.

Training will consist of construction training, urban agriculture, GED/academic classes, job/school placement, and community service. Successful completion of the Community Service program will earn the trainee $2,083 for education.

Applicants for YouthBuild must be between the ages of 16 to 24 and have not received a high school diploma or GED and live in Winnebago County. Applicants for YouthBuild must also be a U.S. citizen. All successful candidates will possess a desire to excel in all areas of achievement and be motivated to overcome all barriers to success.

Fairgrounds Management Office, 1015 W. Jefferson St. — 1:30-3 p.m., Wednesdays, July 27, Aug. 3 and 10; and

Orton Keyes Management Office, 633 Ranger St. — 1:30-3 p.m., Thursdays, July 28, Aug. 4 and 11.
