Magic Waters invites public to participate in ‘Shelbert Shuffle’ flash mob event July 29

July is National Park and Recreation month, with this year’s theme being “Rock Your Park.” The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) encourages all to get outside, get healthy and “Rock” the Rockford Park District’s parks.

You have a chance to “Rock” Magic Waters Waterpark Friday, July 29, by joining in the “Shelbert Shuffle.” This flash mob-style event begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Guest Services Pavilion, and will be filmed and entered in the NRPA’s Flash Mob YouTube contest.

Special admission to Magic Waters after 4 p.m. is $11.95. Magic Waters Waterpark, 7820 N. Cherryvale Blvd., Cherry Valley, is open until 9 p.m., Friday, July 29.
