Two Loves Park residents arrested on drug, weapons charges

State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT), in conjunction with Loves Park Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration, arrested two Loves Park residents Aug. 2 on drug and weapons charges.

SLANT agents and Loves Park officers executed an early-morning search warrant on a residence in the 5000 block of Forest Grove St. in Loves Park. Seized as a result of the search was 8 grams of cocaine, 36 grams of cannabis, a .380 caliber handgun, $2,000 and a 2003 GMC Yukon.

Scott N. Bennett, 32, of the 5000 block of Forest Grove St. in Loves Park, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a park (class X felony), possession of cannabis with intent to deliver (class 3 felony) and armed violence (class X felony).

Kristina M. Dulgar, 26, also of the 5000 block of Forest Grove St. in Loves Park, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (class 4 felony) and possession of cannabis (class 4 felony).

Bennett and Dulgar were incarcerated at the Winnebago County Jail.
