Discovery Center open to adults for ‘Discovery After Dark’ Aug. 5
Online Staff Report
Adults 21 and older can experience Discovery Center Museum without children from 5:30 to 10 p.m., Friday, Aug. 5, in “Discovery After Dark.”
Impress yourself on the Giant Pinscreen, measure your speed at the Pitching Booth, test your strength in the Body Shop, sit in the cab of a real tractor, and get up close to a working bee hive. More than 200 hands-on exhibits will bring out the kid and scientist in you. And don’t miss the explosive science demonstrations or a chance to play in the outdoor science park.
Giovanni’s will provide food for sale as well as a cash bar. General admission is $7 or free to Discovery Center members. Take a ride on a Segway or get dizzy in the giant Sit ’N’ Spin in the new traveling exhibition Spin: The Science of Rotation. Spin will be open free for museum members or $2 for the general public.
