Second Rockford man wins cash for life from Illinois Lottery
Online Staff Report
A Rockford man is the newest grand-prize winner in the Illinois Lottery’s Cash for Life instant game series.
A check presentation is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Central Park Tap, 3523 Auburn St., Rockford. The winner will come forward and claim his $1,000-a-week-for-life prize at the event.
The win marks the second time a grand-prize Cash for Life ticket was sold in Rockford. Dan Kaiser of Machesney Park won $500 a week for life last May when he purchased a $1 Cash for Life ticket at the Corner Store in CherryVale Mall.
The Cash for Life instant game series offers players a chance at winning $500, $1,000 or $2,500 a week for life.
Founded in 1974, the Illinois Lottery has contributed more than $16 billion to the state Common School Fund to assist K-12 public schools, as well as the Capital Fund. Players must be at least 18 years old. For more information about the Illinois Lottery, visit www.illinoislottery.com.
