Rock Valley College police warn of potential scam

Rock Valley College police are warning residents of a group of individuals soliciting funds on behalf of RVC athletics.

Reports have been received of a small group of young people knocking on doors requesting money to support an RVC soccer trip. Rock Valley College does not have soccer teams, and no college groups would solicit individuals in this manner.

Anyone receiving such requests should contact the Rock Valley College Police Department at (815) 921-4350 and your local police jurisdiction.
