Booker Washington Center is hosting Bookerfest from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13-14, on the grounds of Booker Washington Center, 524 Kent St., Rockford.
Saturday features live entertainment including Red and PlayRay’s Review, Free Style, Tariq, Maji, Miss Hollywood and Billy Chears.
Sunday features more live entertainment with David Thompson, Evon Sams, Propa Intro, gospel music and praise teams. Checkout classic cars from the Old School Car Club.
Admission is free, and food and vendors will be available at the event.
