Rockford man arrested for delivery of crack cocaine, cannabis

State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT) arrested a Rockford resident for delivery of crack cocaine and delivery of cannabis.

Derek Jordan, 28, of the 1000 block of Kilburn Ave., Rockford, was arrested and charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance (crack cocaine) within 1,000 feet of a park (class X felony) and two counts of delivery of cannabis (class 4 felony).

The arrest of Jordan comes after he delivered crack cocaine and cannabis to undercover SLANT agents in June and July.

Class X felonies are punishable by six to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Class 4 felonies are punishable by one to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Jordan was arrested at the Winnebago County Jail, where he is being held on unrelated charges.
