Two arrested after police investigation reveals cannabis operation

Members of the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit received information that the occupants of 1506 Garden Court were involved with selling cannabis.
An investigation was started and, as a result, a search warrant was executed Aug. 11 by members of the Rockford Police Department’s Narcotics Unit and M3 Streets team.
Two adults and two young children, ages 2 and 4, were located inside the apartment. Detectives recovered United States currency and more than 300 gross grams of cannabis that was packaged for sale.
The adults, who were identified as Jahlyntavia A. Breedlove, 20, of Rockford, and Floyd E. Tillman, 25, of Rockford, were arrested and lodged in the Winnebago County Jail in lieu of bond.
Breedlove is charged with possession with intent to deliver 30-500 grams of cannabis within 1,000 feet of a school.
Tillman is charged with criminal trespass to Rockford Housing Authority property and his bond has been set at $1,000.
