Five area non-profits named finalists in $15,000 office technology makeover contest

Five area non-profit organizations have been named finalists in RK Dixon’s $15,000 office technology makeover contest.
Careers, Etc., GiGi’s Playhouse Rockford, Kishwaukee United Way, Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful and Sinnissippi Centers, Inc., were named among the 20 finalists after 33,000 votes were cast.
The 20 finalists were narrowed down from a field of 157 non-profit organizations.
The second round of online voting will commence at www.rkdixon.com Aug. 26 and end Friday, Sept. 2. RK Dixon has partnered with WIFR-TV to promote the contest and highlight finalists’ stories.
The winner of the Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest is scheduled to be announced the week of Sept. 19.
The Make My Non-Profit Run Better contest provides non-profit organizations in more than 80 counties across eastern Iowa, Illinois and southern Wisconsin the opportunity to win an office technology makeover valued at up to $15,000. The first runner-up will receive a Canon multi-function printer selected by RK Dixon valued at up to $10,000. The two remaining winners will receive a Canon multi-function printer selected by RK Dixon valued at up to $5,000. In addition, RK Dixon will also award eight printers each valued at up to $1,000.
RK Dixon serves 80 counties in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin with office locations in Cedar Rapids and Davenport, Iowa, and Bloomington, Champaign, Peoria, Rockford and Springfield, Ill.
