Park District hosts volunteer open house Aug. 23

Rockford Park District will host a volunteer open house at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, in the board room of the Webbs Norman Center, 401 S. Main St., Rockford.

Those who plan to attend the open house are asked to RSVP by Monday, Aug. 22, to Kim O’Malley, volunteer coordinator, at (815) 987-1608 or kimomalley@rockfordparkdistrict.org.

The meeting is expected to run approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Light refreshments will be served.

Featured at the meeting will be new opportunities created by the opening of the Park District’s newest project, the Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens, set to open in late October.
