CoCo Key of Rockford is pitching in to help needy school children in the Rockford area.

Rockford’s giant indoor water park is teaming up with the Rockford School District to host “CoCo’s School Supplies Drive” Aug. 22-26.

All donations collected will be given to the school district to be distributed to needy kids in the area through their “Back 2 School Supplies for Schools” program.

Guests who donate will also receive a special reward: $5 admission for the day to CoCo Key.

Clock Tower General Manager Robert West explained: “We are very pleased to be able to partner with the Rockford School District for this special event. A quality education is vital for a child, and we are thankful for this opportunity to give back to the community with this worthy and important cause.”

To participate in “CoCo’s School Supplies Drive” guests need to bring new, unopened supplies to CoCo Key at the Clock Tower Resort. Items accepted for donation include boxes of pencils, erasers, glue, scissors, crayons, rulers, notebook paper, folders, hand sanitizer, uniforms and more.
