Woman guilty of two counts of aggravated battery, one count of mob action to a 12-year-old child

Terricka Purifoy, 24, was found guilty Aug. 18 of two counts of aggravated battery and one count of mob action to a 12-year-old child following a jury trial.

Aggravated battery is a class 3 felony that has a sentencing range of two to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

The defendant is extended-term eligible because of her previous criminal history the sentencing range is two to 10 years.

Mob action is a class 4 felony that has a sentencing range of one to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. The defendant is extended-term eligible because of her previous criminal history the sentencing range is the one to six years.

Sentencing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Sept. 30, in coutroom 317 with Judge Gary Pumilia.
