9/11 Emergency Responders Memorial Committee to announce new development Aug. 24 for 10th anniversary ceremony

The Winnebago County 9/11 Emergency Responders Memorial Committee will announce Aug. 24 a new development for the 10th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.
Board President & Committee Chairman Will Pederson will make an announcement that will draw major attention to 9/11, specifically for the 10th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Sept. 11. The development will have a dramatic impact on the ceremony and will emphasize the importance of the day to the community.
Firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel and agency leaders from the Winnebago County area are asked to attend the press conference at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the Winnebago County Justice Center, 650 W. State St., first-floor lobby in front of the police officer memorial display.
The Winnebago County 9/11 Emergency Responders Memorial aims to embrace the spirit of 9/11 and to honor the emergency responders of Winnebago County, who during the discharge of their duties, have made the ultimate sacrifice for the community they serve.
