Woman arrested on residential burglary warrant in relation to various ruses

Aug. 24, officers from the Rockford Police Department M-3 Streets Team (day shift) located and arrested Suzanne K. Griffin, 43. Griffin was wanted on an outstanding warrant for residential burglary issued by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Griffin was located at a residence in the 1700 block of 13th Avenue and taken into custody. Bond is set at $100,000.
Griffin has been identified in numerous incidents in the City of Rockford where she allegedly approaches a residence and uses the ruse that she is locked out of her residence and will give an address where she lives close to the victim’s house, or she has run out of gas in her vehicle.
Griffin allegedly usually states that she needs money for gas or a cab so she can get to her job at Lowe’s Distribution Center and will pay the victim back.
