Rockford Apartment Association hosts seminar Aug. 27 about dealing with criminal conduct

Rockford Apartment Association (RAA) is offering a training seminar from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, to help educate property owners about laws to deal with criminal conduct.

The seminar will be at Rockford Area Association of Realtors, 6776 E. State St., Rockford.

In response to increasing expectations for property managers to control criminal behavior of citizens who rent their home, property owners need to educate themselves if they hope to successfully manage crime.

Winnebago County has implemented a special procedure to expedite evictions for criminal conduct, and it is rarely used.
