Area Hilanders to raise funds for Toys for Tots as part of Kroger campaign

INDIANAPOLIS — The Kroger Co.’s Central Division has launched its annual fund-raising campaign in support of Toys for Tots in all 147 stores.

Locally, the following Hilander stores will participate in the campaign: 1715 Rural St., 2601 N. Mulford Road, 3710 N. Main St., 2206 Barnes Blvd., 3134 11th St., and 2514 S. Alpine Road in Rockford; and 4860 Hononegah Road in Roscoe.

Kroger customers and associates may contribute via coin boxes at all check lanes, self checkouts and pharmacy counters from Sunday, Aug. 14 to Saturday, Nov. 5. Last year, this campaign raised $20,991 for the “Toys for Tots” program. This year, Kroger hopes to raise even more for “Toys for Tots” through the coin box campaign.
