I'm not surprised to hear that a number of the county board members voted "yes" because they had NOT heard from citizens who wanted them to vote "NO". I have the documentation showing that in 2009 a number of citizens WANTED to talk to the county board about the Wind Farm Issue,, but were DENIED ACCESS by Chairman Scott Christiansen. His reason "Zoning issues!" This Censorship results in bad biased judgment votes by county board members who DON"T get to hear from the citizens they represent. I hope you will join me in the March 20th Republican Primary Ballot, I need your vote to become the new Chairman of the Winn. County Board. Citizens need for their VOICES to be HEARD, please help me make that happen!!! Thanks Mike C Castronovo (on facebook: Mike C Castronovo)

Congratulations Mr Schier for both being editor and publisher of the last real newspaper in Illinois and for doing the right thing with the awards. Now start pushing for production of energy at point of use. We need alternative energy production on every house / farm/ business instead of spending billions on a upgraded grid or going into foreign business accounts for wind turbines. THIS will make local jobs long term and keep much of the money LOCAL. Electricians, construction contractors, selling PV panels, solar heaters etc. would be a real shot in the arm to everyone instead of BIG business and BANKERS.

Like I have said in the past. Mr. Schier's voice in several issues has deserved no more than excoriation and stifle. It's been long enough. It's time to tune out Frank and the boorish diatribe he still has the nerve to call the Rock River Times.
