Photos: Screw City Beer Fest taps State and Main

Hoisting sudsy success for the first year on the site of downtown’s former mall, Screw City Beer Festival featured 25 American craft breweries and 120 different beers Saturday, Sept. 10. “I’m glad Rockford showed up. Next year will be even better because they did,” said Kryptonite owner Chris Wachowiak, with praise for co-organizers Cicerone Aaron Sleger, Artale Wine’s Tony Artale and The Olympic’s Zak Rotello. A total of 1,200 general admission tickets were sold, and 159 VIP tickets sold out the week before. (Photo by Frank Schier)
