‘Always … Patsy Cline’ opens Oct. 7 at Woodstock Opera House

Written and originally directed by Ted Swindley and based on a true story, Always … Patsy Cline opens the fall season at the Woodstock Opera House and is presented by the Woodstock Musical Theatre Company on weekends Oct. 7-23.
The play is licensed by the family and estate of Patsy Cline; all rights reserved. Music clearances are secured and used by permission. Any taping, filming, recording, or broadcast of this play (musical or otherwise) is strictly prohibited.
Always … Patsy Cline is based on a true story about the legendary country singer’s friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended her in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961, and continued a correspondence with Patsy Cline until her tragic death in a plane crash in 1963, at the age of 30; this musical tribute includes may of Patsy’s unforgettable hits such as “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Sweet Dreams” and “Walking After Midnight.”
The cast of Always … Patsy Cline stars Sarah Blevins of Streamwood as Patsy Cline and Shannon Mayhall of Cary as Louise Seger, and is directed by Barry R. Norton of Cary.
Tickets are now on sale at the Woodstock Opera House, 121 Van Buren St. in Woodstock, by calling (815) 338-5300, and can also be purchased online at www.woodstockoperahouse.com. Performances are at 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday matinees are at 3 p.m.
