FearFest 2011 offers haunted excitement, starting Oct. 7
Still think Halloween is just for kids? Think again … Get ready to scream your head off as R.I.P. Productions, Inc. and L.A.C. Recreation bring you northern Illinois’ ultimate haunted experience. FearFest 2011 features three separate haunts at one location.
The South Beloit Haunted Barn (an 1830’s barn) is the perfect setting for an incredible haunt. More than 13 years in operation, it has been remodeled again for a fresh stab at fear! You will encounter more actors, more scares and new for 2011, the South Beloit Haunted Barn will feature the dizzying “Vortex Tunnel!” Howls and haunts invade each twist and turn as tractor-drawn hay-filled wagons make their way through the eerie acres on The Blood Creek Haunted Hayride. This year will feature more scares and more actors that will thrill and frighten you along the way. You just can’t celebrate Halloween without a hayride!
The Screamatorium, northern Illinois’ ultimate haunted house, is not only one of the scariest, but was ranked No. 1 Top Haunted Atraction in 2008. This intense, cutting-edge, multi-level haunted attraction has been striking fear into the hearts of terrified visitors since 2008, and this year has once again risen the bar offering new excitement, over-the-top thrills and nonstop action-packed experiences. New for 2011, the Screamatorium brings you Nightmasre Manor, where you will journey through the warping halls of the ill-fated abode and relive the horror and agony of your worst nightmares. The minions of this horrid realm invite you in a for a thirst of living flesh. Welcome to the Nightmare … the freaks are waiting! Since 2009, the Fear Asylum has been rated a top haunted attraction in the northern Illinois area. Celebrating its third Year of Fear, the Fear Asylum brings back a whole new level of old-school, in-your-face, heart-pounding Fear along with the latest in visual effects and Hollywood-style makeup. FearFest 2011 is at 6512 Manchester Road in South Beloit, Ill. Fear Asylum is at Belvidere Park District (William Grady Pool), 916 W. Lincoln Ave., Belvidere. Event times for both locations are Fridays and Saturdays, 7-11 p.m., weekdays and Sundays, 7-10 p.m.
