Speaker covers fine art of negotiation for women
Staff Report
Business and career coach Vickie Austin, founder of CHOICES Worldwide, will help members of Rockford Network of Professional Women understand the importance of negotiation on your own behalf at the Oct. 17 luncheon meeting at Forest Hills Country Club.
Her “Show Me the Money: Women and the Art of Negotiation” presentation is of particular importance since women traditionally have not received negotiating training. Not only will participants learn the basics of negotiation, but will gain insights and inspiration for understanding their market worth, packaging their gifts and abilities for the world of work.
Austin speaks regularly for corporations, associations, universities, community groups and chambers of commerce. She was a healthcare reporter and has been a freelance contributor to trade magazines as well as the career publications of The Wall Street Journal.
Rockford Network meets monthly at Forest Hills Country Club. Networking is from 11:30 a.m. until lunch at noon. The speaker takes the podium at approximately 12:30 p.m. RNPW luncheon reservations may be made on the website, www.rockfordnetwork.biz with payment via PayPay, credit card or by calling (815) 977-7477.
