Oct. 18 event at U of I College of Medicine explores role of women in health care

The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford invites the public to a program about “The Role and Influences of Women in Healthcare Professions” at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the school auditorium, 1601 Parkview Ave.
Featured guests are: Mary Ann Abate, Rosecrance Ware Center; Dr. Diane Boone, Rockford Health Systems; Sharon Garcia, Winnebago County Health Department; Ellyn Rose de Jesus, University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford; Dr. Kathleen Kelly, SwedishAmerican Hospital; Dr. Lisa Malone, Crusader Clinic; Dr. Elizabeth Mendeloff, University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford; Dr. Jamie Milos, private practice dentistry; Leta Stewart, OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. The program will be moderated by Dr. Patricia Ryan Lewis, University of Illinois College of Nursing in Chicago/Rockford.
The program is hosted by the University of Illinois School of Medicine and co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Greater Rockford and the American Association of University Women, Rockford Area Branch.
The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
