Rockton Police look for clues in Oct. 13 attempted kidnapping

Rockton Police received a call of an attempted child abduction on Nazarene Drive, north of Rockton Road, at 3:42 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13.
The victim described the vehicle as an older white Pontiac Sunfire-style vehicle with four doors, light gray interior, and dark scuff marks on the rear bumper.
The registration is unknown, but the last two numbers end in 97, with a yellowing at the top of the license plate.
The vehicle was driven by a white male subject, 45 to 50 years of age, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot tall, thin build with blondish short hair. The subject was wearing older-style round glasses, was clean shaven, and was wearing a dirty white T-shirt with a beer logo. The subject had a deep-sounding voice.
The victim stated the subject pulled up next to her and asked if she was all right. The driver then got out of the vehicle and tried to push the victim into his vehicle. When another vehicle approached the area, the driver let go of the victim and then fled southbound on Nazarene Drive. The victim was not injured.
