Junior League’s Oktoberfest Beer Tasting Fund-raiser Oct. 20 at The Olympic Tavern

The Junior League of Rockford, Inc. (JLR) will host an Oktoberfest Beer Tasting Fund-raiser from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at The Olympic Tavern, 2327 N. Main St, Rockford.
Participants will have a chance to sample more than 20 Oktoberfest and German-style beers. Admission is $15 at the door the day of the event.
Proceeds from this event will support JLR projects and programs, including their current project, Girls On Their Way Leadership Mentoring Program. As part of the mentoring program, JLR will host a retreat four times per year aimed at girls ages 9-13 focusing on leadership training, voluntarism, creativity, inspiration, self-esteem and confidence-building.
