Dr. Paul Pribbenow to speak at Nov. 6 ‘Vocation for Life’

Dr. Paul Pribbenow, president of Augsburg College in Minneapolis will be the guest speaker at a Vocation for Life event for alumni of Lutheran colleges and universities on Sunday, Nov. 6, at Giovanni’s, 610 N. Bell School Road.
A cash bar will be available at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m., with the program beginning at 7. The Lutheran High School Madrigal Singers will provide musical entertainment. Dinner reservations should be made by calling (309) 794-7000 or (800) 793-8100.
Dr. Pribbenow is the 10th president of Augsburg College, a private liberal arts college associated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). He is recognized as one of the country’s most engaging commentators and teachers on ethics, philanthropy and American public life. Before coming to Augsburg College in 2006, Pribbenow served as president of Rockford College.
The mission of Vocation for Life, hosted by Augustana College, Rock Island, Ill.; Augustana College, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Concordia College and Gustavus Adolphus College of Minnesota; and Luther College of Iowa, is to “nurture the vocations of the ELCA’s Lutheran college and university alumni through discovery of gifts, ongoing discernment, and promotion of calling in all stages of their lives.”
