Man charged in morning stabbing on South Second Street

At 6:41 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 2, Rockford police responded to the area of 418 S. Second St. for a stabbing. Upon arrival, they located a 50-year-old male victim suffering from at least one stab wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries. The victim remains in critical condition.

Rockford police located a possible suspect who was present at the scene of the incident. Detectives investigated the incident and have charged Ebitowo D. Oji, 27, of Rockford.
