Suspect in Oct. 23 North Main homicide arrested in North Carolina

Tuesday, Nov. 1, Nicholas Scott Vincent, 19, was taken into custody on the charge of first-degree murder by law enforcement authorities in Asheville, N.C.
A warrant for first-degree murder was issued for Vincent by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office after detectives from the Rockford Police Department investigated the murder of Kody Henry, 23, which occurred at 1100 N. Main St., Rockford, Oct. 23.
Vincent was taken into custody by law enforcement authorities from Asheville, N.C., and Woodfin, N.C., police. He was taken into custody after arriving by Greyhound bus.
Bond on the warrant has been set at $1.5 million.
