Edgebrook shopping center hosts Tree Lighting, Open House Nov. 18-19

Rockford’s Edgebrook shopping center will host its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Open House from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18, and noon-4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19.

The free-admission event will feature merchant specials, promotions and discounts offered throughout the holiday shopping season.

The tree lighting will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18. Share in the festivities with Edgebrook merchants, the WREX news team and Cumulus Broadcasting. The lighting will happen right at 6 p.m. Live musical entertainment will be provided by Rockford Boylan Catholic High School at 5 p.m. and Rockford Lutheran High School at 6 p.m. Bring a gift of at least one canned good to the Edgebrook management office prior to the event or on the night of the tree lighting to be placed under the tree Nov. 18 and automatically be entered into a drawing to win a $100 Edgebrook Gift Certificate. The winner’s name will be drawn and announced on WREX during their live weather remote at 6 p.m. that evening.

Edgebrook is ready for a busy holiday shopping season and the Open House from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 19, is a great way to see all the unique items the merchants have to offer. Santa will be visiting Infinitely Sweet all afternoon. A free photo opportunity and toy will be given to all the good girls and boys. A few of Santa’s live reindeer will also be visiting from 1 to 3 p.m. in the courtyard. Professional ice sculptors will also be creating works of art throughout the day. Select stores will have extended hours throughout the holidays to provide customers with shopping convenience and flexibility. Customers should contact their favorite Edgebrook stores for specific hours.
