Rockford men arrested on drug charges after search of College Avenue property

Three Rockford men have been arrested on drug charges following a Rockford Police Department M3 Streets Team search of a property at 604 College Ave., Rockford, Nov. 18.
The search warrant was a result of an investigation conducted into illegal narcotics sales from this location based on citizen complaints.
Illegal narcotics and U.S. currency were located and recovered from the residence. The recovered property included approximately 40 gross grams of crack cocaine, 117 gross grams of cannabis and $1,000 in U.S. currency.
The following were arrested and charged:
• Eric L. Brown, 43, of Rockford, charged with violation of Cannabis Control Act with intent to deliver;
• Vantrell D. Brown, 21, of Rockford, charged with violation of the Cannabis Control Act — possession, violation of the Cannabis Control Act with intent to deliver, and violation of the Controlled Substances Act with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a park; and
• Montrell Brackens, 19, of Rockford, charged with violation of the Cannabis Control Act with intent to deliver and violation of the Controlled Substances Act with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a park.
