Response to Stanley Campbell’s column
In response to Stanley Campbell: “How to mix Interfaith, Turkey Day and immigration together,” Nov. 16-22.
Mr. Campbell doesn’t understand (immigration). There is legal, and there is illegal.
This Great Nation was founded on legal immigration. I don’t think there is anyone in the country who objects to legal immigration. Open the flood gates, how stupid. The American taxpayer (the ones who still have jobs) cannot support the illegals who occupy this country, medical, food, schools, etc. Can you or Mr. Campbell imagine what would happen if flood gates were opened? The United States would be another Mexico or worse.
I take offense to Mr. Campbell calling Thanksgiving (“Turkey Day”). This is one day Americans should give thanks to God they were born and live in the greatest country God ever made.

The United States would be another Mexico or worse??????? Don’t flaunt your ignorance as though you’re proud of it…those of us who aren’t, are not amused.
If Kitty has a counterpoint, she failed to make it.
her point is the insinuation that mexico is bad. an insinuation that is bigoted and racist. you are the failure here, john.
If the process of legal immigration were not so tedious and just downright stupid (it takes people YEARS to legally become citizens in this country, and why? No good reason), there would not be so many illegal immigrants. Mexican immigrants in particular do not necessarily WANT to be here illegally; they want to be here fast, because they are trying to improve their lives. If the immigration process were more reasonable, we could tax more legal immigrants and encourage people to come to America legally.
Apparently Mexico must be bad, since somewhere between 12-20 million people have fled there illegally, to come to the USA. Not many flee the USA to go there, unless running from the law.
