St. Mark Ringers presents ‘Ring Christmas Bells’ Dec. 4

The St. Mark Ringers, a handbell ensemble directed by Margaret Dean, will present “Ring Christmas Bells,” a Christmas concert featuring lovely traditional carols and lively holiday favorites, including a medley from A Charlie Brown Christmas.

A special feature of the concert will be the premier performance of “Shepherd Me, O God,” written by Marty Haugen and arranged for handbells, oboe and cello by Hart Morris; commissioned especially for The St. Mark Ringers.

The concert opens the Christmas season at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 4, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 675 N. Mulford Road, Rockford. Home-baked Christmas cookies will be served at a reception following the concert. The concert is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be accepted.
