Rockford man arrested after police seize 112 cannabis plants from his basement

Mark P. Stroud, 41, of the 1300 block of Linda Ave., Rockford, was arrested after law enforcement officers seized 112 cannabis plants from the basement of his property.
The plants were found after police discovered an indoor cannabis-growing operation in the basement of Stroud’s residence.
Stroud has been charged with unlawful production of cannabis sativa plants, a class 2 felony punishable by three to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Stroud was incarcerated at the Winnebago County Jail.
