Christmas with Kantorei Dec. 20 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church

Kantorei, The Singing Boys of Rockford, will present a performance of “Christmas with Kantorei” at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St., Rockford.

Enjoy the festive sounds of choir, organ and chamber orchestra as Kantorei presents a concert of carols old and new, hymns and anthems celebrating the season. Special guests include Jean Anderson, organist, and talented string players form The Music Academy.

Now in its 48th year, Kantorei offers boys ages 6 to 18 an outstanding musical education while providing opportunities for personal growth. Joel Ross is the music director, Bradley Koloch is the associate director, and Trudy Anderson is the assistant director.

Acclaimed for performances sung with discipline, maturity and sensitivity, the boys have delighted audiences locally, nationally and throughout the world. Their sixth CD, Heart and Voice, is now available.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and are available through the Rockford Area Arts Council office, online at or through the Kantorei business office at (815) 963-2544. Tickets at the door are $18 for adults and $12 for students.
