Sheriff’s Office offers free rides home from New Year’s Eve celebrations

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office will offer its annual “Sheriff’s New Year’s Eve Ride Home Program” from 11 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, to 4 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 1.

The program offers free rides from any location in Winnebago County to your home in Winnebago County.

If you or someone you know has had too much to drink and needs a ride home, call (815) 639-4674 for a free ride home.

Because New Year’s Eve is a busy night for the sheriff’s office, it is requested that those needing a ride attempt to make alternate arrangements before calling for a free ride.
