Rockford’s Joseph Magdziarz named immediate past president of the Appraisal Institute
Joseph C. Magdziarz, MAI, SRA, of Rockford, began a one-year term as immediate past president of the Appraisal Institute Jan. 1. The Appraisal Institute is the nation’s largest organization of real estate appraisers with more than 24,000 members in nearly 60 countries.
“To be successful, we need to understand that the number of members is not a solution for success,” Magdziarz said. “The solution is to have highly qualified designated members who provided professional services that the market is demanding today, and to educate and train our members to provide services that will be demanded in the future.”
Magdziarz was the Appraisal Institute’s president in 2011, its president-elect in 2010, and its vice president in 2009. He continues to serve on the organization’s Executive Committee and on the Board of Directors. He has been an active member of the Appraisal Institute for more than four decades, serving in various capacities on both the regional and national levels.
